Suicide is NOT a Solution

How to Overcome Suicidal Thoughts?

In 2016 the number of suicides in India had increased to 230,314. This was the most common cause of death in the age groups of 15–29 years and 15–39 years. In 2019 More than 30% of suicides are reported to be due to Family issues. While Love affairs, relationship issues, Drug addiction, and Illness has also contributed distinctly as a cause for suicide. Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu share the maximum percentage of suicides that took place in 2019. Even though the suicide rate decreased slightly from 2015 till 2017 but then the numbers increased consistently in further years.

According to WHO India and China account for 40 percent or more of the 800,000 annual suicide deaths globally.

Many would have a common question: Why someone would commit suicide? These people are stuck in a hopeless situation and their thinking gets narrowed with negative thoughts. Only Medical treatments such as Psycho-therapy may improve their state.

Sometimes people may feel completely ‘Empty’ as they have no one to care for or no one to care them, in other words, they would not have a reason to live. For people with this kind of feeling, the best way to overcome depression and suicidal thoughts is to Create a reason to Live.

It can be anything….. Unfold yourself and start traveling to new places, start to meet new people, share your feelings, and also try to understand theirs. Go ahead and do things that pleases you and most importantly try to support the people with similar kind of feeling.
